The internet speed on my new Mac computer is very slow compared to the PC. Both are connected via ethernet cables, but a page that loads in 2 or 3 seconds on the PC will take 20 - 30 seconds to fully load on the Mac. I have tried all the obvious solutions - updating firmware; switching cables; switching ports. I have chat with Apple tech support and spoken with Bellsouth DSL and Linksys tech support. As expected, each points to the other's product as the problem. Connection speed is fine when I connect directly to the DSL modem or when I connected to the internet at the Apple store, so I figure it's got to be something between the Mac and the router. The wireless connection is also slow so it's not just a cable thing. Any suggestions?
