WRT54G Firmware 4.x: broken code in web interface

    Hello,

there seem to be many smaller (DIAG staying lit all the time on v.1.0) and bigger (v.1.1, see official Linksys Firmware area here) issues with the 4.x series but there is a damn thing we should kick Linksys' ass for:

The 4.x series introduced some strange script handling of drop down boxes which means:
    1. Using Firefox + Linux/BSD/whatever the last item of the list gets invisible once selected
    2. Opera is handling that code more strict (which is correct as it's non-standard) making the webinterface unusable and just displaying the code in the dropdown boxes.

Why did they introduce this silly behaviour? Sorry, it sucks balls, no other way to describe this, especially since they don't seem to be willing to change it or at least fix their broken code to conform to standards (which wouldn't be a big deal, it'd be rather easy to fix).

Again: We absolutely need to bug Linksys about this until they realize it's a serious problem for those running proper Browsers on proper Operating Systems. This really makes me go :wallbang:

What do you mean? It's everywhere in the web interface, independent of the page.
An example in Opera can be found on the hyperwrt forum:

As you can see, people already tried to convince Linksys that this actually is a problem.
