WRT54G Firmware and IIS

I am new to all of this, I noticed that there are "hacked" versions of the WRT54G firmware. I am currently running the official release 4.00.7. Alhtough I am not satisfied with what I am capable of doing, I want more options. Whats the best firmware to run on this router?

Another problem I am facing is I can't seem to get IIS to run outside of the DMZ. What I mean is I have my netowrk setup where my cable modem goes into the router then out to my three systems. Each system is assigned an static IP. One of the systems is running IIS for my webpage. I cannot get that webpage to display outside my network, even if I type in the IP address of the router. I even have the router set to put that computer in the DMZ so thoery it should forward it to that computer. I have tried using a DNS program like NoIP or DynDNS to resolve to an DNS name, but it doesn't help. I should be able to just type in my current IP of my router and it should transfer to my netowrk static IP of my IIS server, right? I really don't want my computer actually placed before the router, so I was hoping a hacked firmware can reslove that issue. Oh and my IIS IP setting is set to All Unassigned. I have tried to change it both the network IP and the Router IP, but it still doesn;t work. Thanks
