    Hello everybody,

I am new here ... . I have a WRT54G for almost a year know. For a while I am experiencing wireless connection troubleshooting. My router is upstairs and I am using my laptop (with wireless network card Intel Pro/Wireless 2200 BG) downstairs. Only one floor is between my router and my computer. In the past I hadn't got connection problems until a few weeks...

    My configuration is like this
    Network setup

DHCP Server disable => ethernet cards have a static IP address

    Wireless settings

    Wireless channel: 11
    SSIDD Broadcast enable
WPA2 Pre-shared Key Only / TKIP Group key renewal 3600 seconds

I have updated my Windows XP Home edition so that I can use WPA2-PSK / TKIP with the correct Network key.

I had found on the Linksys support forum the suggestion to change my channel to 1, 6 or 11 or even change my SSID ... but this didn't help ....
Someone have other suggestions or experiencing the same problems?

These are the results of a ping test ( from my router to my laptop downstairs)

    PING 192.168.1.3 (192.168.1.3): 56 data bytes
    64 bytes from 192.168.1.3: icmp_seq=0 ttl=128 time=2.1 ms
    64 bytes from 192.168.1.3: icmp_seq=1 ttl=128 time=1.7 ms
    64 bytes from 192.168.1.3: icmp_seq=2 ttl=128 time=1.6 ms
    64 bytes from 192.168.1.3: icmp_seq=3 ttl=128 time=2.4 ms
    64 bytes from 192.168.1.3: icmp_seq=4 ttl=128 time=1.6 ms
    --- 192.168.1.3 ping statistics ---
5 packets transmitted, 5 packets received, 0% packet loss
    round-trip min/avg/max = 1.6/1.8/2.4 ms

    Greetings
