WRT54G having communications problems

I've got a linksys WRT54G box, and I'm using SBC DSL and the WRT54G is connected to a Siemens speedstream 5100 DSL Modem. I'm having problems getting responses from the router's internal DNS client. I've got the latest free version of satori, (4.0). I find that if I run a continous ping to the routers IP, it works after awhile, but its really frustrating. I don't have the problem when connected to a LAN port on the switch, only over the wireless. I don't know if this is any help, but I've also got a 2.4GHZ cordless phone in the area where I'm have the problem with my WLAN. Any help or ideas would be most appreciated.

Hardcode the DNS onto your computer settings.
P.S. - Get rid of the 2.4GHz phone. Get 900Mhz or something.

Thanks, that helped. I've also found that zonealarm was part of the problem.

I also just reflashed the router with satori 4 and did a FULL reset. I think the firmware got corrupted somehow.

Actually, I found that the problem wasn't the satori firmware or the router, but the NIC I was using. Apparently, Compaq's WLAN 200 with their newest drivers, doesn't seem to work well with WPA as the secuity. I've switched back to WEP and its working fine. Thanks to all for your help.
