WRT54G NATing, not bridging

    Hi all,

I've noticed something strange with my WRT54G that I've been unable to rectify. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

    - WRT54G v2.2
    - Sveasoft Talisman v1.0.5 (ie, Linksys v4 firmware base)
    - box#1 connected via WiFi
    - box#2 connected via ethernet

When box#1 connects to box#2, the IP address box#2 sees the connection coming from is that of the WRT54G's internal IP. This implies that the WRT54G is NATing connections between the WiFi LAN and the Wireless LAN instead of simply doing a Layer 2 (ie, ethernet) bridge between the two segments like any sane wireless access point would.

If it were bridging properly, box#2 would be seeing box#1's IP address.

Anyone noticed this and have an easy fix for me?

    How are the routers connected?

What routers? There's only one of them - the WRT54G.
