Hey all, I hope that someone can help me out here. I have a Linksys WRT54G v2 router for the main connection through the house and each computer has a different wireless router to pick up the connection from the main router. I have a Dlink wireless connected to my computer through USB and atleast once a day my computer seems to freeze up just because. I switched from a different router becase the older one (a Belkin) wasn't working so I turned to DLink. I updated my firmware to see if it would work, reset my router and everything to make the firmware activated and still it is freezing up. So that's one problem. THe other problem is PPPOE. Right now our connection is set as Automatic Configuration aand I tried switching it over to PPPOE and it fails every time. The internet doen't commect even after restarting the computer after making the changes. I called the internet provider and I made sure we had teh password and username right so that's not a problem.

If anyone can help me out with any of this that would be great. Thank you!

Could it be MAC or Service name?

    1. clone required MAC to router

    2. service name - if required by ISP - throught telnet
    nvram set pppoe_service=<service name>
    nvram commit

    3. TTL increase - if required - may be put in firewall script
    iptables -I PREROUTING -t mangle -i ppp0 -j TTL --ttl-set 10

WiFi card's Gateway and DNS should point to your router IP...
