I got info you can monitor WRT54G(S) temperature over SNMP - guess there is a temp. measuring diode in the Broadcom chip?
I want to make a WLAN link with two outdoor mounted WRT54GS and the temperature measuring feature would be great.

I did a snmp walk with latest wifi box FW ( but did not find temperature...
Sveasoft Alchemy is supposed to have temperature OID, at least the 5.2.1. version. Is this true?

Can this be supported in the FW? If yes, is it already (what is the OID) and in which FW?

I wanted to use a serial port temp. sensor, but if it can be done with existing HW over SNMP, this would really be great!

Keep up the good work guys!
    thanks and BR
