Never had this problem before, it just started happen. Latest firmware (8.0.0) is installed. Didnt change any settings. My wireless signal is excellent but my MBPS varies alot, goes to 18, 24 and as low as 5.5. MY SIGNAL IS EXCELLENT. I have tried changing to every channel but it doesnt seem to fix it. I have reformatted my computer using Vista and XP and it still does it. I am using a Linksys wireless PCI card. Latest drivers. WPA encryption. I have even tried repositiong the router. I am out of options!

Wireless signal can fluctuate up and down depending on various things that cause interference. However, how you came to the conclusion that reformatting your computer hard disk would fix a wireless signal is beyond me.

have you had a look at the Wireless Signal Tweaking article? v8.00.2 is the latest version of firmware guessing that your version of router is v8.0

    Firmware 8.00.2
