    Hello,

is there a way to put the WRT54G-TM firmware in a WRT54GV2 , I need the APSD function for my UMA phone ( for battery conservation ). The firmware of the WRT54G-TM seems to be a new version with all the WME and U-APSD embedded.

    thanks

Not sure abut that, sounds risky personally since the TM has much more ram (double) and double the flash memory as well.

I'm not sure if DD-WRT or Tomato (3rd party firmware alternatives) have the APSD function even though I'd say there's a good chance, if not could possibly be added. I'd recommend looking at these 3rd party alternatives instead, instead of trying a risky firmware flash to the wrong model.

I'd like someone else to comment on this as well to verify.

I have tried Tomato, no APSD
I have tried DD-WRT seems to have APSD but not working.
I have tried Hyperwrt ( thibor ) , no APSD
I have tried Openwrt , no APSD

It seems that the WRT54G-TM is one of the only box with a full tested WMM+APSD for UMA phones.( there is a USR router hat got it , but seems very hard to find ).

I also think that the bigger RAM and Flash is only an avaibility of component as the firmware seems a lot like the WRT54G, APSD seems the only added function.
