The WRT54G-TM has double the ram and flash than WRT54GL. Is there any noticeable performance boost running Tomato on WRT54G-TM compared to the WRT54GL?

unless you're running something that eats ram bars for breakfast, there won't be any performance impact, no. but if you can get them for equal prices, get the -TM.

If you run your router heavily loaded, you might find the extra RAM makes it more stable. I use an ASUS WL500gP v2 with 32MB RAM and note that it does not suffer from any random reboots like the 54GL. I'd recommend you buy it if available!

EDIT: - buy the TM, that is ! (It's faster than the ASUS and IMHO the radio is better).

No strictly Tomato - but the 8MB flash lets you load up the latest dd-wrt Mega version to see what a fully loaded firmware can do!
