WRT54G v1.0 Router appears dead. :(

I have the original v1.0 WRT54G router and I have been using the DD-WRT SP2 firmware. It has been running fine for the last 2 months or so since I started using this firmware. Yesterday however the router decided to stop working. Only the "Power" and "Diag" LED's are lit. Turning it off and leaving it for a bit then turning it back on has no affect. The same LED's are lit. I cannot get access to the router via ethernet or wireless.

Does anyone with more experience of routers have any suggestions or has it just given up and died? :frown: If it has, would anyone recommend another router to buy. The WRT54G has been the best router I've ever used (I'm sure others would agree) so I would be looking for something to match this.

    Thanks guys.

It could be a defective power supply - pls check other posts on this subject.

If your v1.0 is indeed dead, take the router apart and retrieve the WM54G miniPCI wireless adapter within - it may become handy as a notebook wireless adapter replacement if you ever need one.
