Sorry to double post, but before I made a Topic like this under Tomato firmware and haven't received some useful reply.

I can't throw them away since both belong to a company and I'm just looking for the better one to become its gateway and leave the other just as to provide wireless support to a different floor.

Which would you choose to become a gateway?

1 - WRT54G v1 running Tomato and its 125 MHz processor but with 4 mb Flash Memory
2 - WRT54G v5 running DD-WRT micro and its 200 MHz processor but with 2 mb Flash Memory

Router is supposed to perform a PPPoE to a DSL modem, DHCP server, perform gateway to 20 CPU basically surfing internet and a little P2P and of course provide wireless access to one floor.

    Thanks for any opinion!

I beleive the dd-wrt micro can't do pppoe... so you'll have to use the v1 as the gateway.

Thanks for your help digitalgeek, but DD-WRT Micro does PPoE...

Actually the feature I miss most is that it doesn't do SNMP, so there is no way to measure traffic in WAN port.
