Hi, was wondering if anyone has tested these firmware (Wifibox's latest or Sveasoft's latest) on the box?.. How 'safe' is it ? I've upgraded firmware a couple of times for motherboards and other stuffs .. is it relatively the same ?

Btw, could someone post some screenshots of what functionality does the wifibox add.. or maybe see how Sveasoft's bandwidth shaper works?

It'd be great to see some screenshots.

We've had great success with both firmwares on all three revisions of the WRT54G and so far Sveasofts is ready to go for the 'S' model.

Even in the event of a bad flash, we've got some great recovery methods that are pretty much foolproof. But, I think a completely bad flash that would render these methods necessary are far and few between.

We don't have any snapshots of the interface, but will soon with the WiFi-Box Guide. Keep looking out for those.

I tested Wifibox's latest and Sveasoft latest freely available Version and both worked fine.
The Prioritising is built in in Sveasoft's latest free version: You can only DEprioritise Single Ports and IPs (both Incoming and Outgoing), but remember to reboot the device after configuring the Bandwidth management. :)

Wifibox firmware works without a hitch :D

I'm happy it has SNMP! :) Now i can play with MRTG and graph some stuff.. heh.

Sveasoft doesn't has SNMP does it ? Can someone post a screenshot of what sveasoft's bandwidth management looks like ? :)

How about posting the recovery methods along with the WiFi-Box Guide or in a separate FAQ of its own so others may refer to them?

first of all i want to say hello to @ll; I live in Germany and bought the WRT54G 3 mths ago; everything works fine, i am still using the original firmware that was in the router. Since i own a Linux Satellite receiver (Dreambox 7000S), i am used to flash different firmware onto a Linux device, so this was one of the reasons to go for the WRT54G.

I am planning to upgrade to WIFI or Sveasoft firmware, both of them I am just about to download here for a test.

In a German board someone posted some screenshots of the WIFI firmware, but I was not able to figure out which version they refer to.

I think wifibox is the easiest to configure, but for me sveasoft was faster when i was dowloading off torrents/on p2p don't know why.
