Hi guys I have a big problem in my WRT54G V2.2. I had everything OK running an old version of DD-WRT, from April. As I'm so far away from home, I tried to do the firmware upgrade to 23 SP1 final trough the Internet. It was a 3Mbs file, the same I used to update another same router model I have here in my home.

After I tried to do the remote upgrade in the WRT54G v2.2 that is in my parents house, I got a message saying Upgrade or update failed ! The router didnt reboot but I had it to reboot everyday at 7AM, after the reboot, my mother said that the router has the Power led always flashing and the others are ok, this means I dont have internet because the WRT54G was dialing using the modem ADSL2+ from Linksys, another equipment attached to the router.

Now what can I do to fix this ? Send a friend there and doing a reset to the equipment? Please guys help me because I cant have that acess offline as its providing a hot spot to a bar and an FM radio stream to a webportal and now everything is offline!

I have another question, in case the router is dead and as it is like 6 months or 1 year old, is it possible to discover that I was sing DD-WRT and the warranty will be VOID/Canceled by Linksys ?

Any suggestions to fix this ? First RESET and then if it wont get working, TFTP with DD-WRT firmware ?

    Thank you !

I fixed my router downloading latest original firmware from Linksys website using TFTP and leaving the password field in blank so it erased the flash, then I used the http control pannel with default passwords to upgrade to latest DD-WRT and then I restored all my settings from a backup file I had.. Next time I will never upgrade firmware using www... better to be local upgrade using a laptop connected to a port of the router.

Guys always do a backup of all your settings, its very important and can save you lots of hours of work!

Thanks to all guys that replied to this post.
