i'm having a problem that's ROYALLY pissing me off. i have a several computers (both PC and Mac) hooked up to my router. i also have a modded Xbox that i transfer files to and from. everything on my network seems to work fine except to my Xbox.

my Xbox can connect to my network and access fileshares and the Internet. however if i try to use my PC or Mac to FTP into the Xbox, i randomly but consistantly keep getting disconnected. once that happens the Xbox is no longer accessible, via FTP or PING. it's like it no longer on the network. but even so, the Xbox itself can access the network. this is both with a DHCP assigned IP and static IP.

i also just noticed that if i try to DL some larger files off the internet on my PC, that sometimes the transfer slows to a crawl and then stops altogether. i think my WRT54G is defective. what are ppls opinion on this? this is all with WIRED connection. i haven't used the routers wireless capabilities too much, but it doesn't seem that good either.
