hello Months ago I set up a network with a WRT54G v5 and a WET54G v3(.1? dont remember right now) for a friend. The WRT54G is connected over the WAN-port to a ADSL-modem (6000/1000kbit). One computer is connected to LAN-port 1. The left (if you look from the front) antenna-jack is connected to a biquad-antenna, the second antenna (not the 2nd of the WRT!)is connected to a WET54g. Between the antennas is ~30meters space. Both webinterfaces say 100% linkquality, and it doesnt change at any time as far as I can see. So far so good... The weird behaviour happens sometimes 2 times a day, but sometimes even not one time in a week: everything works, connection to the net over ADSL established, connection over WLAN established and from the one second to the other it 1. can't resolve any DNS-queries (but web-IPs still work) or 2. the connection between the WET and the WRT gets lost without any sign why (no WLAN at or near the used channel, etc.) and the connection needs to be reestablished via the webinterface of the WET54g or 3. the connection to the WRT54G is still there but pinging or tracing anything outside the LAN doesn't work and the router hangs/crashes after I click on disconnect and then again on connect. The odd thing is: this happens with the latest official firmware _and_ with the latest build of DD-WRT and even with the WRT54G v2... I assume that it is a bug in the WET54g firmware or hardware..? Mostly it works if the powerchord of the WET is pulled out for a few secs... I have here no probs with my v2 and I changed the v5 with my nice working v2 but the same crap happens again, my friend is annoyed to visit atleast once per week his mother to reset the router... even using DD-WRT with a cronjob for rebooting it once per day doesn't seem to help. Any ideas what can be the reason and what I can do against it? kind regards!
