Ok so I just installed and setup a pap2 voip adapter behind my WRT54G. The instructions are clear that I need to set up port forwarding on my WRT54G to ensure the pap2 works properly. Ports (53, 69, 5060, 5061, 10000-20000)

Strange thing is that I have not setup special port forwarding to this unit and it still works for incoming and outgoing calls? Can anyone explain this one? And yes the firewall is enabled on the WRT54G... Does this have something do with the wrt being a state based firewall?

No, it's the UPNP features of the router. You don't need to do any manual forwarding.

Interesting.... even though the UPNP feature is turned off?? Or is this setting only for the outside of the firewall?
