For those of you out there who have discovered that a new version of the WRT54G is out (v3.1) I have successfully set up the wireless bridge mode. Search the web, LinksysInfo.org and dd-wrt.com for help. I used the DD-WRT v23 alpha by BrainSlayer and Kenny's post for enabling wireless bridging using AP Mode. A link to Kenny's article can be found from dd-wrt.com and going to the Wiki website. The only hang up I had was this:

To log into the router via the web, the login and passwords are admin/admin. However, when telnetting in, you are in a linux environment and as such, the login/pass are root/admin.

Other than that, Kenny's post will get you up and running. I have not tried any security yet, so that will be next. I suspect WEP is probably all we'll be able to do for a while, unless others already know how to get WPA and/or 802.1x going. If so, a reply would be appreciated. One last thing, does anyone have a link to the CLI commands available once telnetted in? Or are there MAN pages locally?
