I have a v4.0 WRT54G and I was wondering if there are any stable firmwares available for it? Im using v4.20.6 - HyperWRT 2.1b1 (Rupan), Jul. 21, 2005 - but Ive been getting quite a few disconnects lately.

If I wanted to flash back to a factory firmware, which one should I use since on linksys's site there is no mention of a v4.0 router at all (they only go up to 3.1 I believe)?

Ive tried searching around on these forums, but I havent found any difinitive solutions - I'd appriciate any help I can get. Thanks!

    :drinking:
Don't use the firmware from linksys. The version 4.20 version is what is causing routers to lock up and be briked or drop connections. Try to get a firmware version that is pre 4.20 and you shoudl be fine

Try Tofu's HypwerWRT based on v4.20.9 available in the downloads.
