I am trying to upgrade the firmware on this router but I can only do so wirelessly. I have already tried a lot of different firmware, but I really just want the stock linksys firmware outta there. I have already reset to factory and followed every step, but no matter what [firmware] I try, it just tells me update failed. and just goes back to normal like I never even tried. I have tried TFTP, but I have no luck with that. I have tried searching forums everywhere, but I haven't found any real guidelines or specifics for this since I either have to do this wirelessly, or live with linksys firmware eternally.

    Thanks.

If i remember correctly, it very unwise to attempt this. 99% of the time u will brick the router and need to wire up to it in order to repair it.

    Dont do it,

Seems that you're not using your own router (if otherwise, why can't you access it from a LAN port)...what ''every step'' you followed? Did you enter in web management page (correct password)?
