I am running a WRT54G v5 behind a Actiontec dsl modem. I have the dsl modem running on transparent bridge mode, and the router set on PPPoE connection with the user / pass filled out. I am on the internet via the router on wireless and it is running just fine.

What I cant seem to get to work though is the port forwarding on the router. I have it set just right (used it for a year over a cable modem perfectly) with the same settings as before. The ports filled out ... to the right computer ... but still receiving "unconnectable/not clever" so I cannot be seen on an outside comuputer. This makes it impossible for me to run an ftp.

Can you help me figure this out?

that doesnt work, i already know HOW to port forward properly on my WRT54G. I cant however get the modem to go full on into "dummy mode" so it is JUST a modem and not the modem/router. It is on transparent bridge mode ... which should be the modem only mode ... but it cant be because it doesnt forward ports properly.

    any ideas?
