    Hi there,

I have a WRT54G wireless router and I'm trying to set the following configuration:

PC connected to internet (via USB ADSL Modem) <- ethernet -> WRT54G v5 <---> other wireless and ethernet PC's

so I can share the internet connection.

Can someone provide me with a FAQ or explain how can I set this up or even if this is possible?

    Thanks in advance.

Does your ADSL modem have any Ethernet port?

If so then the WRT54G plugs into that. Then your PC and other clients use to WRT54G to share access to the Modem/internet.

if you dont have an ethernet port on the ADSL modem then you need to buy a new ADSL modem that supports it.

using the PC to the gateway will slow your connection and maybe hard to setup.

well, thanks for your help but I think i've managed to configure it after some tweaking.

I do not have an ethernet port on my USB ADSL modem, so I'll have to reconfigure the router's internet IP address every time I establish a new internet connection via the PC -- i think.

    thanks once again.
