    Yesterday I purchased the WRT54G v6.0 and WRT54GL v1.1

    Here are the specifics if your interested...

    WRT54G v6.0
    main chipset = Broadcom BCM5352EKBG
    radio chipset = Broadcom BCM2050KMLG
    power supply = 12VDC 500mA
    S/N = CDFD1F53####
    MAC = 00:16:B6:DD:xx:xx
    performance = extreamly crappy in my opinion, lost pings, web GUI sluggish, updated with latest firmware and still no better

    WRT54GL v1.1
    power supply = 12VDC 1000mA
    S/N = CL7B1F44####
    MAC = 00:16:B6:DA:xx:xx
    Also now has a sticker with Ownership ID & Device ID
    performance = excellent

    It would be cool if you could take off the cover of that v.6 and take some pictures so that the autopsy section of the site could be updated :)

    Thanks for the pics ! :)
    Interesting.. It seems the difference between the v5 and v6 is that in v6 the CPU is packaged in a BGA(ball grid array) and the ethernet filters/PHY layer has been set back to what it used to be in v3 and lower.. they must of had some problems with the new one or the new CPU is not compatible with it..

    What do you guys think ?
