I spent a couple days digging through all the articles trying to figure out how I can do more port forwarding after filling up the entries in the web based configuration.

The FAQ has an entry on how to telnet into my router, but that is not working, and I am beginning to think they forgot to mention that doesn't work with stock firmware.

I read another article here indicating that there is no 3rd party firmware for the my v6 of the WRT54G.

So is there anything else I can do to add additional port forwarding entries to this?

Would it be unwise to have my to have my linux server pointed by the DMZ setting and then doing routing from there? I would imagine so since then it's like every port on my server is wide open...

I have a version 6 at home and it's running DD-WRT micro v 23 just fine. I think that the V6 is just about identical to the version 5 it's the version 7 that's the oddball.
