I have finnaly located older wrt54g routers v2.0, 2.2, and 3.0 that the forum link:

said would work with the Alchemy firmware.
My Serial numbers begin with the following prefixes according to post.

    I have 4 routers now.
    (1) CDF5 = WRT54G v2.0 / ADM6996L Chipset
    (1) CDF7 = WRT54G v2.2 / BCM5325EKQM Chipset
    (2) CDF8 = WRT54G v3.0 / BCM5325EKQM Chipset

AFTER I drove over 50 miles collecting these, each at a different vendor,
    I notice the following post.

    Post subject: WRT54G v2.2 v3.0 and , , ,

" The latest HyperWRT firmware or the Latest official linksys firmwares are the only two
    firmwares that are compatable with YOUR WRT54G v2.2 and WRT54GS v1.1. "

I need wap over WDS and point to multipoint/WITH AP and seems the Alchemy would do the job.

Now it appears I and stuck again. Which is right and will Alchemy pre 7 work as the first post says it will?
Or am I close to making bricks?

If I must return units which ones go back.

Anyone have the knowledgable facts to help me out?

    Thanks for any help.

Well, , I started install of the WDwrt 22r2.

After I figured a few things I installed the BASIC on my wrt54g v3 and it went perfectly so far.

I will have to figure out what half this stuff is as I do the rest but at least I still have routers and not bricks.

    Thanks for all the help,
