    Hi, all!

    1. What I have is:
    - 1 WRT54G, 1 WAP54g, 1 D-Link 4 port switch and
    - 2 locations with wired and wireless PCs on each side
    2. I want to connect them like this:

    wireless PC......wired PC
    ..............|............|......
    ................WRT54G.........
    ....................|.............
    ...............wap54g........
    ..............|...........|.......
    wireless PC..........d-link
    ..............................|...
    ......................wired PC

    3. The problem is I cannot connect all PCs (this is my understanding):
    - if I use bridge between WRT and WAP, then I cannot use wireless PCs on both sides
    - if I use AP in client mode then I cannot use wireless PCs on AP side
    - if I use AP in repeater mode, then I cannot use wired PCs on AP side

Is there a solution for my problem?

see my setup in this forum. I am now up to 8 computers , 2 wired, 6 wireless , split between 2 houses (I'm also using a handheld comp. wirelessly to roam between the two houses)

You should be able to associate directly to the WRT54G, if your WAP54G can see it, then your wireless PC should be able to see it as well.

Dump the Dlink for a wireless adapter. Use the WAP as a repeater.

I have two wired (to WRT) in addition to an Xbox, and about to add two more. I have 3 wireless including a WiFi PDA that roams between the two WAP's. The only problem I experience is the WAP54G requires an occassional power reset to re-connect to the WRT.

    Have a good weekend,

    Curly~
