I'm setting up a WRT54G/WET54g to act as a repeater to receive campground WiFi while we are camping so I can connect my laptop wirelessly around the campsite.

    Here is what I have:
RV WRT54G(v2.2) with HyperWRT Thibor 15b1. This is setup for WAN to use DHCP. The RV router has a IP of It's DHCP gives out 50 IP's starting at The WET54G has an IP of

The bridge connects to my Home wireless network (a WRT54GL w/HyperWRT Thibor 15b1) with a WPA/TKIP connection.

Set up like this I can't get to the Internet from my laptop wirelessly connected to my RV router. If I look at my home router I can see the bridge's MAC in the Device list but it doesn't have an IP.

If I go to my RV router and give the WAN a Static IP, which is available on my Home network and within the range of my home network router's DHCP addresses, set the gateway and DNS to the IP of my Home router, bingo Internet on my laptop.

What do I have to do to get the RV router/bridge to get an IP from my home router and ultimately the campground router?

    I'm so close.
