Don't know if this is the appropriate forum to use but here goes. I have a Linksys WRT54G V2.2 wireless router that I bought new in the package. I only used it for a couple of weeks and decided to sell it. The guy contacts me and tells me it's bricked and the tamper seal on the bottom is broken. Well, I smell a fish and tell him to send it back. When I get it back it has a V2.3 load cd in the box, and the seal is broken so I proceed to take the circuit board out. The board has what attears to be felt tip pen type writing in the 1 and 4 column beside T NO, Code, and Date. Also, the shiny silver rectangle circuit is a little scuffed up. Does anyone know how I can tell by looking at the circuit board whether it's the original one or not? Any testing procedures? Trying to see if this circuit board goes with this router. Thnk he may have switched my good for his bad? I am very amatuerish so please explain in simple terms.

Any help would be most appreciated.

Sometimes folks take a lack of response personal, in this case i just dont believe there is a way to tell and no one really knows for sure. I can say for myself i have never had a reason to take any of mine apart and have no idea what to look for to tell. If you sent that person a good unit and know for sure it was working and the seal was not broken then i would agree and do what you need to in the sense of filing a grievance and taking care to do all you can to put an end to that. There is nothing i cant stand more then a liar and a cheat.
