Which wireless NIC or minicard do you have in your laptop. If it is a Intel 2200BG, they have had problems. Do you have any type of encryption. The defalt setting give you none. If you have some wireless encryption do not use paraphase key generators, since the keys vary from manufacturers. Use hexadecimal keys, of the same length. since Linksys only uses hexidecimal keys. No MAC address filtering, set the same channel and SSID.
