I have a WRT54G v2 with the latest Linksys firmware. Recently, it has been "freezing" at random points and stops responding/has a high ping: When I ping, I notice that when it times out or has a high response time, it will correspond directly with the WLAN blinking light suddenly stopping and staying solid for about half a second or so, and then continue its blinking to indicate activity. When I play a game and it lags out suddenly, I notice that the lag also corresponds directly with the blinking activity stopping and then starting again. This gets very annoying when loading web pages, downloading something, etc. I have tested this on multiple computers, so my computer is not the problem. I am not running any high-bandwidth programs, either. I am unsure of what the problem is. I have tried resetting it, reinstalling firmware, changing the wireless channel (switching between 1, 6, and 11), etc. Every once in a while it will do this. I do not have any big settings on it; just WPA2 AES and a network address of 172.16.7.0/28. What could be going on? Is it physically going bad?
