WRT54G with Buffalo USB client problem.... always disconnect

    Hello everyone

    I am a newbie in wireless networking
    I just purchase the above named router + the Buffalo USB as client
    but i experienced the following problem

    (1) Ibook + Airport express card - excellent, no problem / disconnection at all

    (2) My PC running WinXP SP1 + the buffalo USB client
    - strong and excellent signal
    - using the client manager by buffalo, get connected
    - but disconnect in random times (sometimes several mins, but sometimes can be hours)
    - then cannot connect again, the client manager will say -
    Fail to renew IP
    Can't assess the assess point

    In the router i set like this

    (i have chosen the WEP encryption but seems that it can connect but cannot browse anything, so weired)

    Channel 11 / i have used channel 10 / 9 still the same problem

    no other things set

    btw i also have a DECT phone at home

    i am very frustrated about that as i always get disconnected
    and even cant connect afterthat

    My question is, what i should do to manage this
    (1) ? use the WZC in windows instead of the client manager
    (2) ? update the firmware of my router ? i am using the official firmware 2.02.X and the hardware v2
    (3) simply the buffalo thing not compatible?
    (4) is the bitcomet i using causing the disconnections? i have tried not using it but problem still persist


    i should go to buy a buffalo router instead.... :(

    Does this happen only when you are running BitTorrent? Or it happens still without it?
