WRT54G with MS Server 2003 Problem

I am trying to get a web stats program working using a stand alone server, and programs called WhoSon connected via cable modem through a WRT54G. The router has been set up (through the built in inter face) to use TZO dynamic to static URL server, as that is what the tracker program requires. The problem I am having is the program set up required a public router address be used to function properly, but it always defaults to the internal server 192.168.1.xxx address instead. This prevents sue from going out of our local network. The router does recognize the public address (12.219.245.87), as used to set the routers DDNS account. Any ideas?
    Thanks!

The external (public) ip is 12.219.245.87
The TZO dynamic to static URL is: GlowsourceServer.Linksysnet.com
Router is Linksys WRT54G with latest firmware update. TZO account was set up
through the Linkseys DDNS option built into router.

I have only briefly read on how TZO works. I guess the question is does the server look at its ip and identify itself that way? The reason i ask is when the request is sent the destination server sees it comming from your public ip not the internal (lan) ip.
