I'm in troubles with my wrt54gc and port redirect (Firmware Version: v1.05.7).
I would like to redirect traffic but not in internet mode (the rooter is not direcly connected to internet).
Is it possible with wrt54gc to redirect traffic from the private ip of the rooter to other ip?
If it's only a software limitation can the firmare be updated in this way (how...can i)?
If no do exist other 10x10 linksys wi-fi rooter that do this thing?

If your router is not directly connected to the Internet and not in gateway mode, you aren't running the firewall/NAT and therefore I'd say port redirection won't work.

If you are running the router as a gateway, just that it isn't connected directly to your Internet connection, then it will definitely work, but you'll need to have whatever device connects directly to your Internet connection forwarding the ports as well. If you could describe your network in more detail, we should be able to give you a better answer.

The linksys wrt54gc rooter has ip
    The imsys snap has
    The avionics IP9100A has

I access the system with wi-fi or cable with other ip of the wrt54gc range
I can give internet to the system with wi-fi or cable with private ip of the same family (i have a programmable gateway with the public ip...i can redirect what i want with simple script and configuration)

Wanna put an applet into snap and access the video server without signing it.
I think i can do this with port redirect.

    Space is important (it's on a 1:10 wi-fi truck)

    thanks for help...

I'm not sure I understand what you're asking to do.. the port forwarding takes requests coming into the WAN port of the router and sends them on to any IP address on the LAN side. The important piece here is that this only works when going from WAN to LAN, if you're trying to use the WRT54GC to change ports when sending data between devices on the LAN, it is not able to do that.

Wanna give to WAN address and acces this ip with wi-fi more than with cable
    At port the rooter manager
At port the snap with the applet
    At port the video server

Perhaphs i’m fool but this is possible with a pIII with nat32x as gateway/rooter.
But now I don’t want a big and complex system but a little rooter for my wi-fi model.
    I like linksys 10x10 format...perhaps other model do what i want ?
