WRT54GC bricked after firmware upgrade

I have a WRT54GC that came with version 1.025 firmware. I downloaded and flashed it with the Linksys 1.028 firmware and now its hosed.

i've tried power cycling and holding the reset button for 5, 15, 30, and 45 seconds. Nothing happens with the power light while trying to reset it.

It wont give out an IP, and if I use static as 192.168.1.4, I still cant login to the router, always unresponsive.

At one point I had DHCP on, connected to the router, router connected to the DSL modem, and I was assigned an IP from the DSL modem, even though the router was in between. I could even surf the internet, but no responsiveness from the router. It was basicly like it was acting like a splice.

    Any ideas what to do?

If you had DHCP turned on on the router, how was your DSL modem giving you an IP Address? It appears that your router didnt have DHCP and the modem did, and then your DSL modem gave your PC an ip address AND the router an IP Address.. use a program called Netpeek, it will scan all the ip adresses you want and it'll determine what services and ports are open on any specified IP addres..
