So I have spent the last 3 days trying to get my airport express to connect to my WRT54GL (tomato 1.2).

    I followed lifehacker's article:

    http://lifehacker.com/400235/turn-your-iphone-or-ipod-touch-into-a-multi+room-wireless-music-remote

Router is set for WDS. Secuity is on WEP. WEP keys are correctly entered to the router and airport utility. Correct boxes to add airtunes in iTunes and AX are all set. DHCP is being used. iTunes can even see the new "speaker" when the AX plugged in to the router directly. It can't however connect to it.

So, when the AX is plugged into the router directly, I have a solid green light. Which leads me to believe that the MAC, WEP keys, etc is entered correctly.

However, while the AX is plugged in directly, i lose internet connection every couple of minutes. WRT54GL is connected to a verizon dsl box.

On top of the dropped internet issues, when I unplug the AX from the router and plug it into another electrical socket, the light flashes amber and can't be found.

Thoughts? Ready to pull my hair out

    Thanks,
    Matt
