    Guys,

    I have a WRT54GL that I'd like to start using with DD-WRT.

Im just wondering a couple things..

    1) Can this firmware allow me to monitor individual IP bandwidth usage? Basically I'd like to know where my bandwidth is being used and limit it's usage. I see a general bandwidth monitor, but nothing more detailed.

    2) I've always found Linksys products to be fairly flaky (or maybe just the poor firmware releases from Linksys) Is there a better router that would allow the DD-WRT firmware to be used as well?

    3) Is DD-WRT THE firmware of choice among all of you out there?

    Thanks so much!

    1. This is not done by the firmware itself. You will need additional stuff, such as bwlog.
    2. Yes. Buffalo WHR-G54S, WHR-HP-G54 are better and cheaper. Asus WL-500g Premium is also supported and is a lot more powerful.
    3. No. Some of us like DD-WRT. Some of us use Tomato. Some of us use OpenWRT. Some of us use HyperWRT. I would suggest you to start with Tomato.
