    Hey there.

I recently purchased a WRT54GL Router and flashed it with Tomato Firmware.

I increased the Tx power to 84 but it does not seem to be enough for me (I get about 60% in the lounge where I study)

The Router is located in the corner of the house, so what sort of antennas should I be looking at?

I've seen the Linksys HGA7T's (expensive), are they good?

and will they push the wireless signals in towards the house (because they are Hi-gain:confused:?) or are they omni-directional?

    Thanks

Wireless comms work two ways, so upping the Tx power of the access point only would not help much, if any. You are on the right track with the antenna talk. Have a look at this,

as a starting point, but I suggest you familiarize yourself with antennas types, what they do, etc. before buying.
