wrt54gl as repeater?

    Hello,

I have a few question about configurating the WRT54GL as Repeater.

    This is my OLD network:

Modem and Router: WAG200G (IP 198.168.1.1) SSID: Unseres
restricted access from different MAC-Adresses (all wireless - PC, Laptop, DBOX via Bridge,.....)

Here is my problem: I want to extend the range of the WAG200g to have access from other rooms in the house which are to far away for connection to WAG200g. Therefore I bought a WRT54GL and wanted to work this as repeater for the WAG200g which is in AP mode. The wireless clients should connect to the wag200g or the WRT54GL - depends on where to be in the house.

I tried different settings with DD-WRT v24 RC5 but all is not working.
Do someone have a solution for me?

    Thanks in advance.

    Best regards
    Harald

    Hey,

I'm wondering if you already figured this out :) That the WRT54GL works as a repeater for the WAG200G.
I have a WAG200G Annex A, which is on the 2nd floor of my home.
The signal outside my home is very weak, so I want to buy a repeater for my current router.
Does somebody know if it is possible to use the WRT54GL with DD-WRT as a repeater for this router?

Hope somebody can help me out! :halo:

    Paul
