WRT54GL JTAG Connector

    Hi, I bricked my router WRT54GL V1.1 and i bought an jtag cable with serial port.
    My WRT54GL not have a jtag connector, but it have only hole on motherboard.
    I bought another cable? or a connector for WRT54GL motherboard?

    Can anybody help me?

    All WRT54G Motherboards just have the holes. you have to solder the serial connection onto it.

    where can i find guidelines for welding the connector to the motherboard ?

    I have also bricked my WRT54GL.
    I can put the connector on for a JTAG cable, but as you can see in the attached pictures, on the WRT54G, there are some resisters in line with the pins, but on my WRT54GL there are none.
    Can I just connect them straight through, and put resisters in my JTAG cable?
    I tried connecting straight across the pads that are there, but for some reason this is causing all the data pins to be connected to eachother, what gives?

    any idea's?
    anyone done this on a WRT54GL?

    I know this is very old thread but .... :)
    dankots - have you managed to unbrick your WRT54GL?
    i finely has unbricked mine, so if you still need some help send me private message. :wink:
