    Hello everyone,
I'm new to these forums, and was hoping I might have some insight on the following.

I'm enquiring if there is a 3rd party firmware for the WRT54GL which would support remote VPN access. I travel a lot and required the need to access my home network. I wish to acomplish this via a VPN connection. I realiaze I could always assign a computer at home to handle the VPN hosting but I wish to have the service done by the router. Idealy I'd like to keep the WRT54GL instead of buying some type of bunisess solution router, which offers such fonctionality.

    Hello.
I use the Hyper+Thibor on all of mine when they are sold. I have it on MANY. Although I have never even looked at the VPN capabilities... I just always use Hamachi.

I host the firmware I use, so I can always get to it if needed.

I'm curently using Thibor 15C, and no there is no VPN hosting section in this revision. The firmware does offer the fonctionality to connect to VPN's but thats not what I'm looking for at the momment.

I'm specificaly looking to know, if there are any firmware versions which support the fonctionality.

I'm running both PPTP and OpenVPN. Both works great. As I am connecting from my work and route all traffic, including web browsing to my OpenVPN running on my WRT54G. 54GL would work on dd-wrt.

You don't need the whole zip. You can just d/l individual bin file for your particular model. Highly recommend you read the wiki prior to flashing.
