I purchased a WRT54GP2A-AT from Ebay, and it works great without security settings enabled, but when I try to enable WEP encryption, it will not save the settings ("error on page" in bottom left corner of setup screen). I also tried the WPA-Shared Key encryption, and matched the settings with my wireless connection, but it will not connect. It shows a previous firmeware version of 1.00.11 , and a current firmware version of 1.00.26. The Linksys site does not offer a firmware upgrade currently. Is it possible the previous owner installed the incorrect firmware? Is there an aftermarket firmware version available?
I am running Windows 98 in both PC's and my wireless card is a Blitzz Super G 108Mbps PCI Adapter.
    Any ideas?

What Web Browser were you using? The linksys firmware code is sensitive to the type of browser you use. It is really only compatible with IE6+ and Netscape 6.0+. I had the same problem with my wireless security not saving and it was acting up (slowing down, kicking me off). I thought I needed a firmware upgrade and wasted hours looking for one (since this model is no longer manufactured and linksys doesnt have firmware on their support page for it), when all I had to do was change my settings using IE9 instead of google chrome and everything was working. But if you do need firmware...

Try searching for WRT54GP2 Wireless router on linksys's homepage. The firmware version is 1.30 something, but it should be compatible. The models are almost identical except this one has 3 ethernet connections while the A-AT has 4.

Or, using firmware for WRTP54G wireless router. This is one is probably not as compatible as the above link, but just incase it doesnt work here is a good backup.

Please post and let me know if the firmware works! ENJOY! USE INTERNET EXPLORER!
