    Hi all,

im really upsed cuz i dont get the wholer thingie working ... :(

im using a wrt54gs v2 as AP with these settings:

    Setup Basic:

    - internet : disabled (just go with 3Com in the internet)
    - Router name : testAP
    - MTU : Auto
    - Local IP: 192.168.1.10 (3Com has 192.168.1.1)
    - GW: 3com ip
    - local dns: 3com ip
    - dhcpd : disabled

    Wireless Basic:

    - Wirelessmode : AP
    - WN Mode : Mixed
    - SSID : WLAN (same on 3Com)
    - W Channel : 11 - 2.462 GHz (Channel 11 on 3Com too)

    Wireless WDS:

    - LAN (MAC from 3Com Router)
    - WDS disabled
    - WDS subnet disabled

    Wireless Security :

    - none

under status -> Wireless i got this:

    Mac : my wrt54gs macs
    Mode: AP
    Network: mixed
    SSID: Wlan
    dhcpd: disabled
    Channel: 11
    Rate: 11mbps
Clients: my laptop (do i have them connect from the lan?? i want to use wds WiFi for both ...)
WDS SIGNAL: MAC Address from 3Com rssi 0
    encryption: disabled

when i hit survey i got the 3com router with mac and rssi signal at -83 dbi.

    Thats what i want:

    Laptop <PCMCIA WiFi> WRT54GS <----> 3Com <WiFi> Laptop2

Have someone a real hint for me? Im using the Alchemy Firmware V.1.0 v3.37.6.8sv

    TIA,
    Falk

okay wds is disabled because im at the same network, and i do only a bridge of theses network areas. look at the manual, they also say choose the same SSID of both routers.

    So any other suggestions?
