I have a Cisco ATA 186 connected to a WRT54GS. To allow port forwarding, I'm trying to get the 186 to use a Static IP by disabling DHCP on the ATA. When DHCP is enabled on the ATA186, things work fine, i get a dialtone (though there is aproblem when sum1 calls cos even on picking up, the dialling party still hears the ringing tone, this is on account of the port forwarding, whci break whenever the router is rbeooted and the ATA takes another IP To the one the ports are forwareded to). I get the following lines at the bottom of the status page of the ata:
    Version: v3.1.0 atasip (Build 040211A)
    DHCP Assigned: IP[] Subnet[] Route[]

I then tried to disable DHCP, and made the following changes in the config:

    DHCP: 0 StaticIP:
    StaticRouter: StaticNetMaks:

At this, the ATA stops workign completely. I can still access the configuration page by goign to, but the phone connected to the router is completely quiet. Bo dialtone. it is as if the ATA's staitc IP assignment breaks the conneciton.

    Any ideas anyone?
