WRT54GS and multicast

Hi, I'm in a process of buying a new router and with my requirements (throughput > 20 Mbps, firewall and multicast) and I have been advised to get a WRT54GS with Sveasoft firmware. I have read some on the Sveasoft forums and have some questions:

    1. I've read that multicast (IGMP v2?) has been added in later versions of the original Linksys firmware for the WRT54G. Is this the case for WRT54GS too?

    2. If no, can this be enabled by Sveasoft as stated?

    3. I was warned about stability issues when using Sveasoft. Is this the case?

    4. If I use Sveasoft's firmware and things become too unstable, can I go back to the original firmware by resetting the router?

    Hello again,

No feed-back on this from anyone? I have now bought this router now and it would be great if someone could tell me if I can enable multicast somehow or if it's just a waste of time trying to find out how to do it...

    3. I am really new to the wireless networking world, but I have had no problems with Sveasoft. I am really a basic user though, so I am sure that I do not "work" my router near as hard as others may. I just have a simple home network.
    4. You will have no problems switching back and forth. You will need to upload the original firmware however, which you can get via LinkSys.

I may not have answered all of your questions ... but hopefully I have at least brought some comfort over point 4.

Thanks for your reply. Actually I have been checking out the configuration in the original firmware and in the firewall section there was an option to Filter Multicast. When I removed that one, I was able to receive multicast traffic with no problem. Therefore I don't really need to change firmware at the moment.
