I tried to setup my new WRT54GS router as client. The WPA enabled WLAN is driven by a DLINK DWL-2001 Access Point. I'm using the Alchemy 6.0 rc5a firmware from SVEASOFT. I know that the clients have to be in another subnet, because traffic is routed when using Alchemy in client mode. After reading a few postings I found out that I had to use the WAN parameters to configure the device IP, Gateway etc. of the WLAN interface. Everything works fine without encryption. If I enable WPA and log into the WRT54GS I cannot even ping computers in the network the router should be connected with.
Peraps you can help me with that problem?

Sorry, but I don't want to use WDS!!!

I believe you will need to post your question in the sveasoft forum as Alchemy hasn't been released to the public yet.
