    Hi,

I have two WRT54GS v1.0 boxes and the CPU clock is 200 Mhz, 'nvram show' has clkfreq=200.

I also have two WRT54GS v1.1 boxes and the CPU clock is 216 Mhz, 'nvram show' has clkfreq=216.

Is this true for all v1.1 routers?

If so, someone should update the autopsy page, since it says that the v1.1 CPU is running at 200 Mhz.

    Thanks.

Check the firmware on your routers, the v1.0 is probably running an older version. The clock frequency has been changed in the recent firmware editions to deal with the issue of large file transferes across the LAN switch failing.

the cpu clk is relevant to firmware versions v4.xx included 216 clk frequency. firmware versions below 4.xx have clk freq of 200.

I just applied the latest 4.70.6 firmware to my WRT54GS v1.0 boxes and the CPU frequency is still 200 Mhz for them.

I used BatBox Linux to check that:

    Any idea?

    Thanks.

Did you reset the routers to factory defaults after flashing the new firmware?

Yes, the routers were running Alchemy 1.0 and when uploading the new official firmware I choose to option to reset them to factory defaults.

    Any other idea?

    Thanks.
