I want to buy a WRT54GS-EU for use with my AVM Fritz!Box Fon ATA (as client) for VoIP, functional QoS would be nice for this.

In the shop they have the v1.0 (CGN1...) and the v1.1 (CGN2...). Which one would you recommend to buy? What are your experiences?

I guess I will just use the original firmware from Linksys, I don't need too much special features. The most important thing is VoIP with QoS and WLAN for the notebook to work well.

    Thanks for some help!

At this point in time do not touch the WRT54GS v1.1 - it doesn't work reliably on LAN to WAN file transfers for me and regularly disconnects on high throughput for others - the older versions are reportedly better, but can you be sure that its not just lousy quality control in Linksys manufacturing which may affect all Linksys products? Are they going to recall the faulty routers (which have 3-year warranty) or patch the firmware without crippling the throughput?
