    My WRT54GS serial no(started with CGN2xxx) indicated that the hardware version are v1.1. But according to the http://xxx.xxx.xxx.x/SysInfo.htm it shown hardware version 2.0. May I check that in my case what is my correct hardware version? Thank you.

    download and install WRTbwlog then look at the cpu speed.

    If it's 2xx mhz vs 1xx then you know it's version 2.x.

    Hmmm,

    I believe the best way is to compare the serial number of the unit to the list of hardware revisions kept here on the forum. The CGN0... and CGN1... are version 1. CGN2 is 1.1 . CGN3 is ver 2.0. CGN4 is ver 2.1. CGN5 is ver 3.0, CGN6 is Ver 4.0 and CGN7 means you're scr@#ed (because that last version can't accept custom firmwares.

    Hope this helps,
    Bob

    SysInfo.htm Is not accurate. I have a GS version 1. I got the ADM chip, I opened to install a fan and checked. All GS have 200MHz it is just the G that has 125 and 200MHz.

    CGN0 = WRT54GS v1.0 / ADM6996L Chipset / CPU 200Mhz
    CGN1 = WRT54GS v1.0 / ADM6996L Chipset / CPU 200Mhz
    CGN2 = WRT54GS v1.1 / BCM5325EKQM Chipset / CPU 200Mhz
    CGN3 = WRT54GS v2.0 / BCM5325EKQM Chipset / CPU 200Mhz
    CGN4 = WRT54GS v2.1 / BCM5325EKQM Chipset / CPU 200Mhz
    CGN5 = WRT54GS v3.0 / BCM5352E Chipset / CPU 200Mhz
    CGN6 = WRT54GS v4.0 / BCM5352E Chipset / CPU 200Mhz

    I would say you have a WRT54GS v 1.1.

    The SysInfo.htm is explained here:
    http://www.linksysinfo.org/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&t=10230

    Also check out the autopsy here:
    http://www.linksysinfo.org/modules.php?name=Content&pa=showpage&pid=6

    According to everything here you have a 1.1.
    Unless you have a SES button or Cisco button you,
    have a ver. 1 or 1.1.
    Your serial # is CGN2xxx so you have a ver 1.1.

    I have a sticker that says FCC WRT54G ver 2.
    I have A GS version 1
    I got the extra ram and chip etc.

    For example my SysInfo says ver. 2. I have a ver. 1.
    A ver. 2 has the SES button or Cisco button, I do not.

    Hardware Version:2.0 INCORRECT
    Device Serial No.:

    If you want you can pop your WRT54GS appart,

    BUT YOU WILL VOID THE WARRANTY.

    Then you can see what chip you have etc...
    But my guess is a version 1.1 99.9% sure.

    Gets confusing but hope this helps. :)
