    hi
me and XCOM7 have been trying to find a way to get the led behind the cisco led to work. and finally well XCOM got it. so all props to him. i did this under dd-wrt pre 5. have fun with it.
this mod will only work with the wrt54gv3 and the wrt54gS v2

    here is what you do.

notes: "./gpio disable 3" =turning on the amber led
./gpio disable 2 = turns on white led

this is what you do in the telnet/ssh window

    "cd /tmp"
    "wget http://openwrt.org/downloads/gpio.tar.gz"
    "tar -xzf gpio.tar.gz"
"./ gpio disable 3" (this will give you amber light to trun it off it is ./gpio enable 3)
    or
"./gpio disable 2" (this will give you white light and to turn it off it is "./gpio enable 2")

    well there you go.

    XCOM7 i have a question for you
    you posted a log:
    Code:
nh but its the gpios for the 2 leds and switch
    inh #define SD_DI (1 << 2) //white led
    inh #define SD_DO (1 << 3) //orange led
    inh #define SD_CLK (1 << 4) //cisco switch
    inh #define SD_CS (1 << 7) //dmz led
inh i dont use dmz led tho. that was for ship selesct. ijsutconnect that to ground
Eagle_Fire seri: white led on = "gpio disable 2"
    Eagle_Fire off = "gpio enable 2"
Eagle_Fire for the orange one use 3 instead of 2
    now it says "inh #define SD_CLK (1 << 4) //cisco switch" and i ran ./gpio disable 4 and gave me nothing.

i ran ./gpio disable 7 and turned on the dmz light which is cool.

but what does "inh #define SD_CS (1 << 4) //cisco swtich" do does it refer to anyhting. if not why is it there.

Thats to enable the button behind the cisco logo that button is only useful with the Linksys firmware for "EZ Setup" Soon to be on and off.

    Pin Direction Name
    GPIO 0 (Output) WLAN LED
    GPIO 1 Output POWER LED
    GPIO 2 Output ADM_EECS
    GPIO 3 Output ADM_EESK
    GPIO 4 Input ADM_EEDO
    GPIO 5 Output ADM_EEDI
    GPIO 6 Input Reset button
    GPIO 7 Output DMZ LED

i got this table form the sd card reader mod site
using this cahtr you could do ./gpio disable 7 and it would turn your dmz light on

Mhh I just use the startup scrip and came with a invalid tar magic.
    Replace the startup as fallow.

    cd /tmp
    wget http://openwrt.org/downloads/gpio.tar.gz
    tar -xzf gpio.tar.gz
    ./gpio disable 2

Thats only if the original startup wont work.

Yeap like I posted before replace the link on the startup script.
Untill I figure why the ipkg is getting corrupted in my server.

Use the original link from openwrt.
If that still dont work rename the file to gpio.tar

to turn on teh white light you could do "./gpio disable 2" instead of "./gpio disable 3" or you could do "./gpio disable 7" to turn on the DMZ light

it would be cool if you could make some kind of cron job that would turn the amber yellow light on when it is night or past 6:00pm. and turn the white light on when the suncomes up @ 6:00am. would anyone know if this is posible.

or could someone post how to do this.

I'm not sure what I did.. I was playing with the different GPIO commands.. Got the light to alternate, off > white > amber... I forgot what number I had put in to get it to alternate so I was playing with it... I'm not sure what number I put in but I think I bricked it... It just keeps reseting.. I tried holding the reset button on the back and unplugging it but it does the same thing.. Any ideas?
